Design
The design of the Hyper Whitetail 410 is without doubt one of the best aspects of this crossbow.
It's made from durable, high-quality materials that give this crossbow a great feel when holding it in your hands.
It's built with the Whitetail Pro stock and uses a narrow front end along with reverse cams.
The Whitetail 410 has a pass-through foregrip which helps with stability and accuracy, whilst also providing the shooter with a good grip on the crossbow.
As most of Barnett's crossbows do, the Whitetail 410 comes with three Picatinny rails which allows you to attach a scope as well as other attachments.
The Hyper Whitetail 410 also features string dampeners which reduce the noise during the shooting process to help keep the shooter concealed when hunting in the field.
The bow is covered in an Mossy Oak DNA Country camouflage that blends into woodland settings perfectly.
Performance
When it comes to performance, the Barnett Hyper Whitetail 410 has an impressive 15-inch power stroke along with a 190 pound pull weight.
Speed and power are two aspects of this crossbow that will not disappoint, and its easy to see why this crossbow is loved by hunters all around the globe.
The Hyper Whitetail 410 shoots arrows with a velocity of up to 410 FPS and is capable of delivering 142 ft. lbs of kinetic energy.
This makes this crossbow more than capable of taking down large game in the field.
I took the Hyper Whitetail 410 down to the range to get a better understanding of how this crossbow performs in the real world, and I have to say it did not disappoint.
Within a matter of minutes after some fine adjustments, I was able to shoot sub 3-inch groupings consistently at a distance of 100-yards.
Being accurate would be an understatement for this crossbow, combined with immense power and unbelievable penetration, it's a seriously impressive piece of kit.
Cocking
The Barnett Hyper Whitetail 410 has the option to come with a cocking crank or a rope sling which makes the whole cocking process incredibly easy.
The cocking crank reduces the effort needed to cock the Hyper Whitetail 410 by 90 percent, meaning anyone is able to cock this crossbow.
Opting for a crank is certainly a wise option for those that are on the weaker side or perhaps don't have a lot of strength in their arms.
A rope sling is a little more technical and will still require some effort from the shooter.
Whilst the cocking crank variation of this crossbow will cost slightly more, it's super helpful and in our opinion is definitely worth the money for most people.
Optics
The Barnett Hyper Whitetail 410 comes with a 4x32mm illuminated scope that is excellent for hunting in low light situations.
The scope is shock resistant as well as waterproof and also has multiple multiple reticles.
The multi-reticle system enables the ability to quickly aim at targets at distances that are frequently encountered with a crossbow.
Trigger
The Hyper Whitetail 410 features a metal-injected molded trigger as well as TriggerTech™.
It's undoubtedly one of the best triggers that is available on the crossbow market to date.
The trigger is 3-pound and has zero creep and it also contains frictionless release technology.
This technology creates a free-floating roller between the pin and the trigger, making for a lighter and smoother experience when shooting this crossbow.
It feels incredibly crisp and gives you full confidence when pulling the trigger thanks to the remarkable technology.
